The West Virginia 1995 Girls Olympic Development Program (ODP) team created history at the annual Region 1 Tournament, held June 7-8 in New Jersey, when they became the first team from West Virginia in the history of the tournament to win all of their games.  WV defeated both Virginia #2 and Connecticut #2 by identical 1-0 scores on Saturday, before registering a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Eastern PA #3, on Sunday.  Three players from the WVUSC Shox Gold U12 Girls team (Hannah, Lyndsey and Makayla) and three players from the WVUSC Elite U13 Girls team (Charlotte, Gabi and Hannah) played for the West Virginia ODP team, scoring four of the team’s five goals.  Congratulations to all six girls for representing our club and our state well!
